GENERAL ENGINEER

Full Job Description

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.

This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project.

The ND-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. This position has a control point of GS-13 step 10.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 - GS-11, or ND-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing technical advice on engineering projects using general engineering practices.

2) Leading teams and collaborating across organizational boundaries with diverse stakeholders to execute engineering projects. 3) Reviewing contractor proposals for technical adequacy.

4) Communicating project status and technical issues to project stakeholders and managers. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.

• You will provide technical and administrative oversight of energy and utility related Architect-Engineer contracts.
• You will provide technical expertise and assist in developing scopes of work, estimates, and contract procurement.
• You will manage project budgets, schedules, key milestones, technical execution, and labor funding.
• You will act as the point of contact with sponsors and customers, communicating project and program status, progress, and problems.
• You will collaborate with contractor representatives and stakeholders to resolve contract related issues.
