This role involves leading engineering efforts for naval air systems, including designing, planning, and managing the development of weapon systems to meet military needs.
You'll work on teams that review technical documents, integrate budgets with project plans, and ensure systems perform well in real-world operations.

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Systems Engineering Department, Air Platform Systems Engineering Division, PEO (UW) Program Branch of SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or (DP-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating experience serving as a Lead Systems Engineer or as a Lead Technical Domain Subject Matter Expert for assigned systems providing authoritative systems engineering or senior-level engineering technical domain input and advice to systems engineering and to the program management leadership.
2) Demonstrating experience leading the development and incorporation of Systems Engineering work products or technical domain work products required to satisfy, complement and inform System Acquisition program management process milestones, artifacts, strategic planning, risk characterization and decision making on major weapon systems.
3) Demonstrating experience leading or significantly master the incorporation and use of the various and broad resources to support engineering development, planning and testing for assigned systems.
4) Demonstrating experience leading engineering, technical, acquisition, and sustainment support personnel and teams.
