Full Job Description
Responsible for complex maintenance and repair tasks in such areas as carpentry, locksmith, electricity, heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, boiler operation, and energy plant operations at the McCrady Training Center, army facilities at McEntire JANG Base and various SCARNG facilities state-wide. Oversees construction projects, assigns work to other maintenance workers and ensures compliance with safety and building codes. Conducts inspections to ensure employees follow proper operating, maintenance and safety procedures. Initiates preventative maintenance; recommends improvements to increase the efficiency of crews and equipment. Perform as a member of a multi-skilled team in the repair, maintenance, construction and demolition of facilities and facility systems.

Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s license. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods. Must be able to climb and work form ladders, stairs, and scaffolding. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50/75 lbs. Must be able to work in confined spaces; hot, hazardous, and noisy locations; and in adverse weather conditions.
