Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-13. Senior expert or supervisor.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading and coordinating military operations planning for the US Indo-Pacific Command, including creating detailed plans for crises and routine activities, guiding teams during high-stakes events, and advising on strategies that affect joint forces across agencies.
A good fit would be someone with extensive experience in military operations, strong leadership skills to manage a large team, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure in a fast-paced government environment.
You will serve as a FUTURE OPERATIONS MANAGER in the Operations Directorate of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and interpreting policies, procedures and strategies governing joint military operations; 2) Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on issues; 3) Making decisions or recommendations that significantly influence policies and programs concerning technical matters related to joint, combined, and interagency planning and operations; 4) Leading, managing, conducting analysis, and performing crisis action orders and operational analysis work.
