This is an entry-level internship program for young people aged up to 24, offering hands-on experience in fields like law enforcement, technology, engineering, and the arts through the City of Las Vegas's youth workforce development initiative.
Interns work under close supervision to assist staff, ensure safety during activities, and build practical skills for future careers.
It's ideal for motivated students or recent graduates eager to gain real-world experience in a supportive government environment.
First Aid and CPR Certification at time of hire/reclassification.Computer experience required.Student must sign an agreement at the time of hire.Completion of the Strong Future Las Vegas employability training is required in order to be eligible for employment.

This position is an education-to-work pipeline that provides hands-on experience in law enforcement, law, technology, engineering, maintenance, graphic design, communications, the arts and recreation to name a few.
Some job assignments under the Strong Future Program are credentialed (earn and learn).Duties include but are not limited to:Ensures safety of participants during program events and activities.
Provides assistance to full-time or part-time classified staff or designee in assigned areas of work.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Must Complete Strong Future Youth Employment Intake. Complete Employability Training.
