In this position, you will be responsible for delivering technical support and guidance to forestry personnel tasked with ensuring the sustainable management of forest resources within the Susquehannock State Forest.
Your assistance will align with the principles outlined in the State Forest Resource Management Plan, the Timber Management Operating Manual, and the relevant laws governing the Commonwealth.
It is essential that all activities adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by the Forest District Manager, ensuring a cohesive approach to forest management.
The supervision of this role will be under the Forest Assistant Manager, who will provide oversight and direction to facilitate effective operations and compliance with established standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately 9 March 2026 until 13 November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
