Requirements
As a Forensic Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will provide clinical leadership and administrative oversight. Collaborating closely with the Nurse Manager, Chief Forensic Executive, and peer supervisors, you will ensure seamless continuity of care and consistent operational standards. Your daily presence will serve as a vital resource for nursing staff and the interdisciplinary team, fostering a culture of professional support and clinical excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for the direct supervision and evaluation of a diverse team, including Forensic Registered Nurses and Forensic Security Employees. You will ensure strict adherence to the specialized safety protocols unique to a forensic environment and oversee the progress of Forensic Security Employee trainees by reviewing and certifying their competencies. Dedicated to patient advocacy, you will evaluate all nursing services to guarantee that every patient receives active, high-quality treatment. By planning and directing the delivery of care across multiple units, you will maintain a secure, therapeutic environment that balances safety measures with compassionate, recovery-oriented leadership.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (2nd shift), rotating on and off duty days, with a 30-minute lunch. In a 2 week period, you will have every other weekend off and 2 other days off during this time period. This may change based on operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Forensic Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional nursing experience providing care, treatment, custody, and control of psychiatric patients.
Special Requirements:- The position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
