This job involves investigating digital evidence from crimes like fraud, theft, and assaults by analyzing videos, audio, and computer files to recover hidden or damaged information.

As a Digital Forensic Examiner 1, you will examine analogical and digital video or audio and multimedia evidence seized by law enforcement officers.
You will analyze video operating files and network communications found in diverse technology environments.
You will recover file information that has been deleted, encrypted, or damaged and provide expert testimony at court proceedings.
Your technical analysis of digital evidence will be used to investigate traffic activity, homicide, fraud, robbery, assault, burglary, identity theft, sex crimes, and solicitation.
This role requires solid technical skills to examine digital equipment and media as well as meticulous care to ensure original evidence and proper chain of custody is preserved.
In addition, you will serve as a local area network administrator, assist the Video Analysis/Computer Crimes Unit, and travel to crime scenes to identify, collect, preview, and secure digital evidence.
