Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED or higher and five (5) years of fleet supervisory experience.

Licenses and Certificates: Some positions may require a valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License or a Class "B" Texas Commercial Driver's License, or equivalent from another state by the date of appointment.

Requirements

Under general direction, plan, assign, and direct the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment.

Qualifications

Plan, assign and direct the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment. Administer through subordinate personnel the operation of the fueling and parts storage areas.

Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs for all automotive equipment. Allocate personnel, materials, and other resources to balance workflow and ensure the availability of vehicles.

Perform a variety of staff support duties to assist the unit or function head with office administration details in accordance with the established procedures. Complete additional duties as assigned.

Supervise assigned staff. Involves: Schedule, assign, instruct, guide, and check work. Appraise employee performance. Provide for training and development.

Enforce personnel rules and regulations and work behavior standards firmly and impartially. Counsel, motivate, and maintain harmony.

Interview applicants and recommend hiring, discipline, or other employee status changes.
