This job involves installing, repairing, and maintaining communication and emergency equipment like two-way radios, sirens, lights, and video systems in county vehicles and facilities.

High School diploma or GED or approved equivalent technical electronics, radio/communications installation and maintenance experience AND Four to Five (4-5) full-time years' of technical experience with two (2) full-time years' experience installing and repairing radio and video equipment.
Advanced level and demonstrated working knowledge of electronics, video equipment, radio equipment and emergency lighting systems.A current and valid Class C driver’s license is required upon hire.
If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing.Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment.
A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
Additional Information While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stoop, bend, climb, twist and kneel.
