This seasonal job involves hands-on work raising and stocking fish in Pennsylvania's waters to support fishing and boating for the public, including tasks like handling fish carefully, driving trucks to deliver them, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to become a Fish Culturist 1.
This position offers the opportunity for career growth through permanent employment upon completion of a successful training period.

In this position, you will learn how to collect and select brood stock while handling the fish in a manner that minimizes stress, injury and mortality.
You will learn how to operate a fish stocking vehicle in a safe and timely manner, load and transport fish, monitor fish, and take appropriate action to deliver the fish in excellent condition.
Additionally, this role performs repairs and maintenance to buildings, equipment, and grounds.
