Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

The specialist troubleshoots issues, recommends policy changes, and advises on tech upgrades to support the Department of Defense's financial processes.

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as experience such as: Proven experience in analyzing financial management processes within the Defense Retiree and Annuitant System (DRAS), to ensure data integrity and define future system requirements.
Possess background in researching and resolving complex system issues related to DRAS, making recommendations on policies impacting the system, and directing the testing of system enhancements.
Ability to provide technical advice to management and users on automated process improvements concerning the implementation and performance of DRAS.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
