Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves overseeing financial operations for a media activity in Europe, including managing budgets, preparing reports, and leading a team to ensure accurate accounting and compliance.
It's ideal for someone with solid experience in finance or accounting who enjoys supervising others and handling detailed financial systems in a government or military setting.
A bachelor's degree in a related field is essential, and more experienced candidates may stand out.
This position is located at Stars and Stripes Europe. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).
Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1.
Qualified candidates must possess at least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties described above using the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
2. Experience in maintaining detailed records sufficient for external audits and to organize and document processes. 3.
Applies generally accepted management principles and practices; audits, reviews, and evaluates financial documents and programs through use of office automation applications (spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, databases, communications).
4. Practical experience in major accounting disciplines such as but not limited to AIR, A/P, payroll, income auditing, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory management. 5.
Documented experience must demonstrate the ability to supervise and mentor employees. 6.
Knowledge of Financial Management concepts, principles, and processes (budgeting, internal / management controls, cost benefit analysis, statistical analysis, price and rate setting, productivity improvement, performance effectiveness, benchmarking, standards / metrics, etc.).
7. Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with a major in a business discipline, i.e., accounting, financial management or hospitality).
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Five (5) years of progressively responsi8ble experience preforming independent, senior-level financial management or accounting functions, with ownership of complex budgeting, financial reporting and close processes Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager.
