Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER in the Comptroller Department (N7) within NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE CTR CORONADO.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

  • You will perform a wide variety of financial managerial duties connected with the formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review of budgets.
  • You will coordinate revisions to operating plans to ensure consistent interpretation and expression of such revisions in the budgeting process.
  • You will prepare budget justification for total MFP-ll funds allocated to the headquarters element that clearly explains the needs, effect on program operations if funds are not provided, and the basis for any cost comparisons.
  • You will develop and maintain a system of budgetary controls to ensure availability of funds and that proper balance exists among approved programs.
  • You will analyze program performance in comparison to the budget plan, studies variances from the plan in terms of their effects on the funding of programs, and prepares recommendations for remedial action where appropriate.
  • You will perform necessary analyses of source data to determine reliability, usefulness, and applicability of data in support of budgetary requirements.
  • You will provide direct technical and administrative supervision of up to 20 civilians performing Budget, Accounting, and analytical type functions.
