Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Special Operations Command (Army), SOTF Fort Bragg, NC.

GS-09: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Assisting with preparing Vouchers for Certification and Disbursement, 2) Researching functional and operational areas and internal control measures to establish proper segregation of duties and personnel , and 3) Preparing graphs, charts, reports and presentations for the organization.

GS-11: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Preparing Vouchers for Certification and Disbursement, 2) Studies functional and operational areas and internal control measures to establish proper segregation of duties and personnel , and 3) Establishes and maintains communication, liaison, and coordination with operating officials at all levels and headquarters for the purpose of addressing issues or to clarify special payment requirements.

Major Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate and perform one-time and recurring comprehensive reviews, special studies and selective internal examinations of finance operations.
  • Examining and Preparing Vouchers for Certification and Disbursement.
  • Studies functional and operational areas and internal control measures to establish proper segregation of duties and personnel.
  • Establish and maintain communication, liaison and coordination with operating officials at all levels and headquarters to clear up issues or to clarify special payment requirements.
  • Monitors and performs validation of funds by contacting the external agency for the approval to pay based on a pre-validated confirmation.
  • Examine a wide variety of documents, records, financial reports and processes to determine whether performance has been in accordance with generally accepted principles, operating procedures and applicable regulatory guidance.
