Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and ensuring accurate tracking of expenses for a naval training command in Illinois.
It supports decision-making through reports and evaluations of costs and resources.

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NSTC GREAT LAKES. GS-09 pay is between $68,999 through $89,703. GS-11 pay is between $8,3482 through $108,533.
For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing budget administration functions such as formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; 2) Reviewing and evaluating budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures; 3) Using Federal financial systems to reconcile financial data; and 4) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management for organizational programs and administrative operations.
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing, allocating and monitoring financial resources in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies; 2) Applying knowledge of procedures required to examine invoices, vouchers and related budget/accounting documents; 3) Using Federal financial automated systems to extract data for forms and reports; and 4) Reviewing, updating and maintaining accounts to ensure accuracy of financial information.
