Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing budgets, supporting financial systems, and using data to fix accounting problems in the Navy's financial office.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE NAVY (FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT & COMPTROLLER), DEPARTMENT OF NAVY of ASN.

GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience as a subject matter expert for financial systems and data analytics, troubleshooting for systems, and providing user support.

Experience developing data driven solutions to improve process efficiency.

Experience developing and standardizing documentation such as user guides for financial systems, tools and automations GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing user support and customer service for financial systems and data platforms.

Experience utilizing financial and data systems to identify and assist in resolving accounting issues and support process automation.

  • You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of the budget administration.
  • You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
  • You will manage user access, while providing training, and delivering customer support for essential financial systems, including ERP, PBIS, PIEE, Advana/Jupiter, Databricks, and UiPath.
  • You will develop and implement data-driven solutions to remediate systemic accounting issues by leveraging deep expertise in financial systems and accounting principles.
  • You will build and maintain Robotic Process Automations (RPAs) to improve the quality of historical accounting data and enhance the efficiency of current programs.
  • You will develop and standardize documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), User Guides, and Developer Guides for all systems, tools and automations.
  • You will fulfill ad-hoc data requests by cleansing and aggregating information from multiple, disparate financial systems to provide timely and accurate financial data
  • You will prepare detailed reports, briefs, and analyses for leadership on system performance, automation productivity, and user adoption rates.
