Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

For GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing budget, accounting, and financial management programs to provide guidance and recommendations to resolve problems within an organization.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will assist in performance of budget administration functions in the budget formulation, execution and review of the command's operating budget.
  • You will compile and analyze data using multiple financial management systems.
  • You will monitor and analyze all funding requests under cognizance to ensure funds do not exceed amounts authorized.
  • You will compile and prepare financial data from reports.
  • You will analyze issues between different financial management systems (e.g., Navy Enterprise Resource Planning [N-ERP] Financial System)
  • You will advise customers concerning issues related to financial management systems.
  • You will disseminate budget requirements to department heads and program managers and gather budget information as needed.
  • You will review the use of funds by program to ensure compliance with budget policies and to ensure the command priorities are carried out.
  • You will prepare detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs and/or participate with management in fiscal planning, for integrating requirements into the annual Program Objective Memorandum (POM).
  • You will prepare Department of Navy (DON) Budget Exhibits.
