Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Perform integrated financial management functions that include responsible stewardship of federal resources; analysis and interpretation of financial and program data; application of strategic thinking to support long-term organizational priorities.

2.) Use of federal financial management systems to ensure data integrity and support reporting. 3.) Effective communication of financial information to diverse audiences.

GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Mastery level knowledge and application of Navy financial systems to include Navy ERP and other Navy financial systems; 2) Mastery level knowledge and application for management and allocation of financial resources in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies of budgeting and/or financing to ensure resources are efficiently applied to meet organizational goals and objectives; 3)Mastery application of financial and data analytic systems to compile, analyze, report, and reconcile financial data for informed decision making; 4) Mastery level analysis, evaluation and review of budget/program issues and financial data, and report using business tools and applications.

  • You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
  • You will the performance of functions such as formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities; review and evaluate budget requests.
  • You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations, implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
  • You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities.
  • You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities may also be performed by incumbents of this position.
