Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing budgets for the U.S. Marine Corps by reviewing requests, tracking spending, preparing estimates, and ensuring everything follows rules and regulations.
It also includes training others on financial systems and fixing accounting issues.
A good fit would be someone with experience in budgeting or finance who pays close attention to details and can explain numbers clearly to leaders.

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reviewing and evaluating budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures; advising on phases or systems of budget administration; implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets, and presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector formulating budget and cost estimates, reviewing and evaluating budget requests, control, and reporting obligations and expenditures.
