This FINANCIAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN (ACCELERATED HIRE) position, is located in the US Property and Fiscal Office (USP&FO) Comptroller Division, Financial Services Branch and is part of the CA USPFO Army.
General Experience: Possess experience providing analysis, validation, processing and correction of financial transactions and issues/problems involving the full range of financial services and a complete understanding of inter-related systems and processes across multiple functional areas and their interoperability to ensure the validity and accuracy of all disbursements, collections, and adjustments related to financial records.
FINANCIAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN (ACCELERATED HIRE), GS-0503-8: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, in: providing analysis, validation, processing and correction of financial transactions and issues/problems involving the full range of financial management services and accounting functions; Experience with inter-related systems and processes across multiple functional areas and their interoperability to ensure the validity and accuracy of all disbursements, collections, and adjustments related to financial records; Experience reconstructing inaccurate accounts, gathering and organizing information for inquires, and resolving problems; Experience suggesting specific changes to the guidelines and development of control mechanisms; Experience in fact-finding and investigative techniques that identify, analyze and recommend solutions regarding fiscal accounting activity.

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE/PERMANENT/TEMPORARY POSITION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR.
Indefinite Positions: Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered.
Temporary Positions: Selectee may be non-competitively extended up to 4 years if/when funding becomes available in accordance with CNG FPH 001.
The primary purpose of the FINANCIAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN (ACCELERATED HIRE), GS-0503-8, is to provide analysis, validation, processing and correction of financial transactions and issues/problems involving the full range of financial services.
Incumbent uses complete understanding of inter-related systems and processes across multiple functional areas and their interoperability to ensure the validity and accuracy of all disbursements, collections, and adjustments related to financial records.
