Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Work experience which includes: 1) interpreting and assessing program financial performance using standard financial management systems; 2) interpreting balance sheet and profit and loss statement results; and 3) requiring the application of commercial budgeting techniques.

HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA: At least three years of DoD NAF experience in Financial Management Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial transactions, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as financial data management and analytics techniques BS/BA in accounting, finance, or related field All answers to the Highly Qualifying Criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit.
Major Duties:
Provides technical assistance to managers concerning appropriated and nonappropriated fund budgeting.
Ensures the correct production of budgets and their execution including compliance with appropriate regulations, etc.
Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends, working capital and the NAFl's financial position. Ensures all individual budgets are coordinated, realistic and support long range planning.
Consolidates budgets into a single NAFI package. Evaluates established internal policies, procedures and management controls to ensure adequacy. Monitors compliance.
Recommends changes and suggests solutions to managers.
Performs analyses of performa financial statements for proposed ventures; evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of proposals; prepares/reviews return on investment schedules for capital projects; assists and guides managers deciding on capital reinvestments.
