Summary

This job involves working at Chester Downs Racetrack to manage occupational licenses for horse racing participants, conduct background checks, and ensure everyone follows the rules to keep racing fair and safe.

You'll spend your days in the licensing office, interacting with people and enforcing regulations for the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission.

Requirements

In this position, you will oversee the administration and issuance of occupational licenses at the licensing office located within the Chester Downs Racetrack, which operates under the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission (PHRC). Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with the established rules and regulations governing horse racing, as well as enforcing these standards to maintain the integrity of the sport. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sunday; Tuesday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in public contact work, including two years of experience in field investigation or law enforcement work; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Post Employment Requirement

  • A Commission Employee License is required for this position or will be obtained once hired.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
