The Department of Corrections is seeking a skilled Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 2 to join our team. Requirements

In this position, you will administer, direct, and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program encompassing all core functions, including building construction and demolition; HVAC operations and maintenance; electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and controls; groundskeeping; and management of the vehicle and heavy equipment fleet.

You will lead and coordinate a preventive maintenance program to ensure the facility operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities include directing and conducting inspections with maintenance shop supervisors to ensure compliance with accrediting agency requirements and departmental safety standards.

Additionally, you will coordinate facility construction and renovation projects, oversee planning, material procurement, and cost estimates, in collaboration with departmental staff, contracted vendors, and the Department of General Services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience as a Utilities Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Seven years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including three years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
