Do you want to showcase your institutional safety skills and expertise? The Department of Human Services (DHS), South Mountain Restoration Center is seeking a dedicated Facility Safety Manager. Requirements
As a Facility Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the total institutional safety program at South Mountain Restoration Center by administering policies, procedures, and security programs, as well as accident and fire prevention.
You will utilize strong organizational skills and solid operational awareness to delegate duties in order to maintain efficient operation of fire, safety, and security functions. This will include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures for employee accident prevention, fire safety, and hazardous substance control
- Ensuring all employees receive proper training in safety practices
- Overseeing Communications Center operations with security staff
- Conducting reviews of the Emergency Operations Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)
- Implementing theft control prevention programs
- Investigating accidents, property damage, and safety hazard reports to prevent or minimize recurrences
In addition, you will oversee the Fire Marshall's Office and the fire emergency response system, perform the duties of the Right-to-Know Coordinator, maintain compliance with Safety Accreditation and Certification requirements, and coordinate the Emergency Management Program and Workplace Violence Program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of professional experience in an organized accident prevention, fire prevention, environmental safety, or security program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
