Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) coordinating and/or leading a wide variety of complex and/or major work requirements reviewing, and managing facilities sustainment, repair and maintenance, construction projects, and service contracts for a wide variety of clients; 2) providing supervision, leadership and direction to subordinate facilities operations specialists by delegating specific authority to carry out their respective responsibilities while establishing employee performance standards, conducting performance appraisals, and establishing leave schedules and approval guidelines.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Major Duties:

  • Provides technical advice to Division Chief and DPW operating elements.
  • Provides Annual Work Plan input to include Facilities Repair Maintenance Activity requirements and estimates for budget execution, performance reports programs for specific projects and Base Operations Support (BASOPS) maintenance requirements.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of internal and external facilities operations through review and analysis of production reports and inspections.
  • Serves as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and is responsible for inspection, review, and verification of contractors work efforts, reports, plans, and contractor invoices:
  • Manages the operation of -DPW work management and engineering systems (i.e. GFEBS, RSMEANS and any other similar systems), including data entry, updates, data quality assurance and data analysis.
  • Supervise a multi-disciplinary team by directing, evaluating and overseeing their work performance.
  • Manage all aspects of your team through work performance, complaints, disciplinary and hiring new employees.
  • Determines total maintenance/improvement requirements, and is responsible for determination of extent of repairs and improvements which can be accomplished within the budgetary/ regulatory constraints
