Requirements

As the Facility Safety Manager, you will lead the administration of all institutional fire and safety programs. Your role will involve overseeing the timely completion and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports, as well as conducting quarterly fire drills and submitting annual schedules for executive approval. By maintaining meticulous records, you will ensure the facility consistently meets all accreditation and inspection requirements. Additionally, you will manage comprehensive programs for sanitation, housekeeping, and pest control throughout the institution. You will be responsible for implementing the "Right to Know" program, which includes managing the material safety data sheets (MSDSs), maintaining the product inventory system, and ensuring all materials are properly labeled through regular inspections. Furthermore, you will maintain critical water distribution logs and plot plans, ensuring that all sprinkler systems and hydrants are tested in strict accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of professional experience in an organized accident prevention, fire prevention, environmental safety, or security program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirements:
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
