You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required.
You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards.
A uniform allowance will be provided. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 1 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority. You must be able of lifting at minimum 25 pounds.
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-03/20/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience.

To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least of one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience must include at least 4 of the following activities such as: (1) experience with using standardized guidelines to determine the condition of assets; (2) operating the Facility Management Software System (FMSS); (3) training new FMSS park users; (4) assisting in the determination of Asset Priority Index (API) ratings for assets; (5) calculating and updating asset Current Replacement Value (CRV); (6) preparing and presenting reports to management from FMSS databases.

-OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.

To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess at least of one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience must include at least 5 of the following activities such as: (1) extensive experience with work practices and construction standards related to repair, rehabilitation, and construction of park assets; (2) overseeing the Facility Management Software System (FMSS) in a park; (3) analyzing, defining and recommending solutions to problems with FMSS; (4) coordinating training programs associated with use and maintenance of FMSS database; (5) serving as liaison for Park divisions and park system units for the FMSS program; (6) independently estimating the resources required for complex long and short term projects; (7) analyzing budget data in order to make recommendations for the modification or reprogramming of project funds..

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
The major duties of the Facility Management System Specialist position include, but are not limited to, the following: Operates/oversees the operation of the Facility Management Software System (FMSS) including, but not limited to, asset identification and inventory, condition assessment, cost estimating, work order generation, and life cycle information.
Uses standardized guidelines to determine the condition of all assets, including annual and comprehensive assessments, life-cycle assessments, and daily work findings.
Prepares and presents reports to management from FMSS databases for operational, fiscal, and planning purposes.
Completes the annual review, closeout and setup of numerous routine maintenance work orders for inclusion in the operational budget.
Reviews and ensures accurate and timely records of park staff are entered in the FMSS database. Assists in the determination of Asset Priority Index (API) ratings for all assests.
Calculates and updates asset Current Replacement Value (CRV). Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
