Job Duties:
The ES Performance Coach supervises and coordinates the Economic Services Performance Coach Unit.
This position provides technical services and support to SNAP/TANF staff by assessing and addressing performance of staff individually, by county or region to ensure accomplishment of mandates in the U.S.
Code of Federal Regulations, State Law and Regulations, and State procedures.
Performs vital duties related to the implementation and monitoring of program initiatives for the continued improvement of the SNAP and TANF programs.
Serves as the primary individual responsible for coordinating and monitoring corrective action strategies required by the United States Department of Agriculture/Food and Nutrition Services (USDA/FNS) as a result of findings from federal SNAP reviews.
This includes ensuring that all necessary actions are taken, as required, to maintain compliance and address deficiencies promptly.
Assists in creating tools/guides to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, or agency' s criteria, codes and regulations.
Manages and oversees the daily operations of the Economic Services Performance Coach Unit.
Coordinates individual worker, county, regional and/or statewide meetings to disseminate new policy and procedures accurately and efficiently to staff in the counties.
Coordinates and tracks statewide meetings to address timeliness, payment, and procedural errors to staff in counties and at the state level.
Utilize performance reports, error reports, timeliness data, clarification requests, and state/Federal corrective action plans to identify problems that are systemic and those that are specific to individuals and individual counties/regions.
Coordinates, tracks, and reviews worker/county coaching assistance, support and tools/resources to ensure policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.
Coordinates technical assistance requests and recommends strategies on improving performance.
Identifies potential problems; facilitates problem resolution by determining or recommending and implementing a performance plan of action.
Prepares and provides various reports to managers and senior leadership based on technical assistance provided.
Assists eligibility management and senior leadership with compilation and evaluation of performance and technical assistance data.
Prepares and maintains documentation for coordinated meetings and coaching sessions.
