Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team that oversees and licenses family child care homes in a region, ensuring they meet state standards for safe and quality early education.
The role includes supervising staff, conducting reviews, resolving complaints, and providing training to improve child care services.

Directs and manages the implementation of the law with regard to FCCH providers in the counties served by the Regional Office.
This will include the supervision of regional staff and the monitoring of FCCH, ensuring the effective and efficient service delivery of early care and education throughout the region.
Assists the Regional Supervisor in managing the day-to-day operation of the regional Child Care Licensing office.
Assists in providing assistance in direction and guidance for staff training, complex program issues, and complaint resolution as mentor/anchor for program reviewers.
Assists in conducting program reviews of service providers as assigned to ensure provider compliance with all applicable service standards and federal and state laws.
Serves as trouble shooter for complex service problems and resolution of complaints. Helps prepare management reports to provide feedback and recommendations based on provider problems/needs.
Assists in conducting special projects as assigned to enhance the statewide service delivery system for providers and clients; prepares and presents reports on assign.
Assists in conducting planning activities to set priorities, goals and objectives for the program review process of total childcare system.
Develops procedures, standards, philosophies, definitions, and criteria for Family childcare providers.
Assists in developing design/revisions to standardized monitoring instruments for childcare services to measure program compliance.
Analyzes existing monitoring tools, contracts/agreements, standards, policies and procedures; develops instruments, field tests and analyzes results; finalizes instruments.
