This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Anderson Clinic, 1 Linwa Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.
Under general supervision, you will perform diversified supportive counseling to patients of the C & A Clinic of the Anderson-Oconee-Pickens Mental Health Center.
Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I:
Provide outpatient therapy/counseling for children, adolescents, and their families and temporary therapy/counseling services at schools as assigned.
Attend staff meetings and ensure chart documentation and review is complete according to quality assurance standards.
Perform assessments, screening assessing medication needs, history, and mental status, making necessary treatment recommendations.
Provide case management for patients, monitors progress, including compliance with prescribed psychiatric medicines, evaluates and updates treatment plans, and educates patients and their families about mental health treatment and diagnoses.
In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care.
This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.
