ERP HCM Support Analyst

The Department of Administration's Division of Enterprise Applications (DEA) is seeking an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Human Capital Management (HCM) Support Analyst to join our team.

We are in growth mode, and it is an exciting time to be a contributing member to the SC Enterprise Information System (SCEIS)!

SCEIS is the backbone of our business processes and ultimately empowers decision makers to improve government for the citizens.

You will serve as the functional resource for SuccessFactors modules.

Work closely with team members, management, and central government to support the on-going development of system enhancements to include identification, testing, documentation, and training activities, as necessary.

This role is ideal for a critical thinker and skilled analytical professional who excels at cross-functional collaboration with a deep understanding of ERP systems, knowledge of human resources and payroll laws, rules, regulations and policies.

Responsibilities of the ERP HCM Support Analyst:

Acts as a functional team resource for SuccessFactor (SF) modules within the HCM team to provide operational support to state agencies for the resolution of tickets/incidents that are sent in via DEA helpdesk.

Simulate or recreate the identified issue to resolve and identify system problems to assist our end users.

Develop and conduct testing of business scenarios to ensure proper system performance and processing.

Perform testing and validation for Half Year (H1&H2) SAP updates, any related support pack testing, project testing, year-end testing and other regression testing as needed to ensure the operational ability of the SCEIS/SAP/SFs system.

Perform configuration and unit testing related to the business requirements.

  • Work closely with agencies, Admin functional areas and others as needed to update or assist with process improvements for the agency, and implement yearly activities (i.e. new agency creation, H1&H2 Updates), reporting changes and other activities that will impact end users.
  • Prepare functional design specifications, functional configuration documentation, and test cases for change requests moving to production. Assist in preparation, review and update of project plans, status reports, and oral reports as required to keep project team leaders and management informed.
  • Prepare and update all relevant documentation pertaining to the SCEIS/SAP functional processing as designated for in person or online training.

    Provide support and assistance to the DEA training team in the planning and coordination activities needed to conduct instructor-led training courses or other medium as required.

  • Perform other application duties as required to keep DEA applications operational and functioning.
  • Requirements

    • Ability to utilize a diverse range of data processing software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to present in front of large or small audiences.
    • Position may require overnight travel.
    • Position may require employee to work evenings and weekends.
    • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations and hazardous weather events.

    Qualifications

    • Public sector experience or large organization experience.
    • Prior state experience.
    • Knowledge and experience implementing SAP or an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
