You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the Transportation Division of the Shore Department of the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
If selected below the full performance level, incumbent may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management.
This position has promotion potential to the GS-12 grade. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: - Process procurement orders for various vehicle types independently - Researches and compares vehicle/equipment specifications to vendors to procure the appropriate vehicles to meet the customer requirements.
- Manages and tracks the overall execution of funding to include monitoring and tracking funding received and expensed by customer.
- Manages, tracks, and validates all US Navy assignments and license plate requirements for Civil Engineering Support Equipment.
- Support Transportation customers by handling day-to-day communications, including resolving acquisition related issues, equipment deficiencies, and vendor support problems.
- Maintains subject matter expertise in their program area and provides guidance to customers and program stakeholders.
For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: - Process procurement orders for various vehicle types under direct supervision - Researches and compares vehicle/equipment specifications to vendors to procure the appropriate vehicles to meet the customer requirements.
- Supports team to manage and track the overall execution of funding to include monitoring and tracking funding received and expensed by customer.
- Supports team with managing, tracking, and validating all US Navy assignments and license plate requirements for Civil Engineering Support Equipment.
- Support Transportation customers by handling day-to-day communications, including resolving acquisition related issues, equipment deficiencies, and vendor support problems.
