Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an equipment specialist at a naval ship repair facility in Japan, where you'll advise on materials needed for repairing and upgrading ship systems, review lists of required parts, and ensure everything is available on time to keep projects on track.
It's a good fit for someone with experience in logistics and ship equipment who can lead teams and solve supply issues in a fast-paced military environment.
Note that medical and dental care is very limited in Japan, so it's best for those comfortable with overseas assignments.
You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the ADVANCED PLANNING BRANCH, ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DIVISION of NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY.

Please see Additional Information section below.*** Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing leadership and logistics support to both government and private agency personnel and organizations engaged in projects related to equipment systems and subsystems of ships.
