Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing military equipment from start to finish, making sure it's always ready to use and helping teams operate and fix it properly.

You'll create guides, track parts, and advise on improvements for systems used by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the PROGRAM LOGISTICS TEAM of MARCORSYSCOM.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manage AND/OR oversee equipment life cycles, provides technical guidance on operations and maintenance, develops documentation, supports program teams, coordinates fielding, AND/OR ensures readiness for operators and maintainers.

  • You will manage equipment throughout its life cycle, ensuring readiness and operational effectiveness for all assigned systems and subsystems.
  • You will provide technical guidance to operators, maintainers, and program teams on proper operation, maintenance, and support procedures.
  • You will prepare and update provisioning documentation, track spares, and coordinate with logistics organizations to maintain supply readiness.
  • You will develop and review technical manuals, instructional guides, and other documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy for users.
  • You will serve on fielding teams, offering expert advice and support during deployment of new or modified equipment.
  • You will analyze, evaluate, and recommend modifications to equipment or procedures, applying independent judgment to complex technical challenges.
