Requirements

In this position, you will operate a variety of medium-weight, single-chassis vehicles and maintain equipment on and off the hospital grounds.

Your work will involve driving trucks to provide general maintenance and constrict material support, as well as assisting with snow and ice removal.

You will drive vans and cars to provide patient transportation services. Some of your duties will include operating buses, delivering items, and moving furniture.

You can also expect to operate groundskeeping equipment. Additionally, you will perform operational maintenance on all assigned equipment and vehicles.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel as needed
  • Free parking!
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience or training.


Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.


Conditions of Employment:

  • This position requires possession of a Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements.
