Summary

This job involves helping military and civilian staff at a Space Force base resolve workplace fairness issues, guiding them through complaints, mediating disputes, and running training sessions to promote equality and respect.

Key Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Military Equal Opportunity (MEO) laws, regulations, and complaint processes
  • Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and counseling on sensitive workplace issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for advising leadership, writing reports, and delivering presentations
  • Ability to conduct inquiries, fact-finding, analysis, and recommend solutions to resolve disputes at the lowest level
  • Skills in developing and leading training sessions on equal opportunity topics for diverse audiences
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; completion of DEOMI EO/EEO Counselor's Course or equivalent highly desirable
  • Proven interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers from varied backgrounds

The candidate should be skilled in developing and delivering training to audiences and establishing effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees from a variety of backgrounds.

- Education and Training: While a bachelor's degree is preferred, it is not required.

Highly desirable candidates will have completed the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) EO/EEO Counselor's Course or possess equivalent training and certification.

A foundational knowledge of federal personnel administration principles and practices is also beneficial.
