Full Job Description

***This posting will be used to fill multiple summer internship positions in Environmental Services.***

In the area of Environmental Services, the responsibilities includes:

General exposure to all environmental programs including NEPA, Permitting, Compliance, Public Involvement and Design Build.Fieldwork: works with staff conducting wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species act surveys, and archaeological investigations.Public Involvement: assists NEPA Coordinators in conducting public meetings, set up meetings, run sign in desk, etc.Prepares a USACE jurisdictional determination.Visits and assists staff in monitoring stream mitigation.Digitizes archaeological surveys using GIS for incorporation into the state’s Cultural Resource Information System (Archsite).Pay Rate is between $17.00 - $23.00/per hour depending on qualifications.

Requirements A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence.Applicants must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university program in Environmental Science, Biology or related field.
