In this position, you will provide technical support and guidance on environmental and safety regulations, as well as construction coordination and operational assistance.
The primary areas of involvement are domestic water systems, wastewater systems, and central housing plants which include steam and hot water boilers.
Your work will involve providing information to facilities via telephone and hands-on action at the facilities.
You will prepare various reports and permit applications, maintain regular communication with environmental regulatory agencies, and assist in the coordination of outside contractors.
Further duties will include reviewing all plans and specifications for any projects.
Additionally, you will serve as a member of the Continuity of Government Relocation Team to aid the relocation of staff in the event of an emergency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week upon successful completion of the 6 month training period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of professional experience in environmental engineering, and possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Graduate study in environmental engineering or in a closely related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis; or
