Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to design and manage the Navy's network communication systems, ensuring everything aligns with broader digital goals and stays secure and efficient.

You'll create strategies, set standards, and guide projects to connect technology with real-world mission needs.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-13 or equivalent level in leading architects and engineers on digital engineering, systems architecture, or mission outcomes
  • Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to connect digital engineering with systems architecture and mission goals
  • Experience developing and maintaining enterprise architecture visions, strategies, and alignment with digital transformation priorities
  • Skills in establishing governance frameworks, compliance standards, and quality expectations for architectural integrity
  • Ability to lead development of architectural roadmaps, transition plans, and policy guidance to address gaps in enterprise systems
  • Leadership and mentoring experience in fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within technical teams
  • Knowledge of NC3 (Navy Command, Control, and Communications) systems and NAVWAR priorities

  • You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the NC3 enterprise architecture vision, managing external stakeholder relationships, and ensuring architectural efforts are aligned with NAVWAR’s digital transformation priorities etc.
  • You will lead a team of architects and engineers using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to connect digital engineering, systems architecture, and mission outcomes.
  • You will develop and maintain the Navy NC3 Enterprise Architecture vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with digital transformation priorities and higher-headquarters guidance.
  • You will establish and oversee architecture governance frameworks, compliance standards, and quality expectations to ensure architectural integrity across the enterprise.
  • You will lead the development of architectural roadmaps and transition plans that translate the NC3 vision into actionable steps, guiding execution, investment, and decision-making.
  • You will identify gaps in governance or policy and lead the development of new or revised guidance to strengthen enterprise alignment and architectural maturity for NC3 systems.
  • You will lead and mentor the enterprise architecture team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning to grow the command’s technical capabilities.
