This role involves leading a team to test and evaluate weapon control systems, especially the Battle Management System, for the U.S. Navy to ensure they work reliably in real-world scenarios.
You'll plan tests, automate processes for efficiency, and collaborate with experts to meet military needs while balancing time, budget, and risks.

You will serve as an Engineer/Scientist in the Weapon Control Test & Evaluation Branch; Unmanned & Expeditionary Weapon Systems Division; Weapons Control & Integration Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.
You will serve as Battle Management System (BMS) Lead Test & Evaluation Engineer.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer or scientist coordinating or conducting test & evaluation efforts for the Battle Management System (BMS) or other warfare software and hardware systems.
Examples of specialized experience may include: developing warfare system test programs and methods of test, executing test and evaluation, and reporting of results; developing, implementing, and improving test and evaluation process for increased efficiency such as test automation; leading and mentoring a technical team to conduct warfare system test and evaluation throughout the project lifecycle.
