Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

This job involves leading technical work on Navy communication and network systems, focusing on updating, building, securing, and maintaining shore-based tech for military use.
You'll guide teams, solve complex problems, and advise leaders on innovative IT solutions to keep systems reliable and safe.

You will serve as a ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Communications and Networks division, Engineering department of NIWC ATLANTIC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading and directing technical reviews and assessments, providing oversight in the development of systems engineering technical work products, and providing technical advice to leadership personnel.
1. Proven technical experience in Modernization, Engineering, Production, Cyber Readiness, and Sustainment of Navy C4I systems, with a focus on tactical shore systems. 2.
Strong understanding and practical experience with Cloud Architecture. 3. Experience implementing automation solutions and testing strategies within complex IT environments. 4.
Proficiency in DevSecOps principles and practices. 5. Knowledge and application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles. 6.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, cybersecurity and software development methodologies. 7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences with influence.
