Under supervision of an Engineer Senior the successful candidate will perform full-performance level work to advise the Commission on engineering matters involving water and sewer utilities.
Duties include: advocate and defend engineering positions and coordinate with staff's legal and financial professionals to develop cohesive staff positions in cases before the Commission that are often high profile and controversial; investigate the quality and reliability of utility service to customers; review service-related complaints filed against utilities; prepare expert-level verbal and/or written memoranda and testimony to advance the staff's engineering position in formal cases in accordance with the deadlines established by the commission; provide oral testimony in utility cases before the Commission; respond to inquiries from the public and utilities regarding regulatory codes and rules; prepare any special studies requested by the Commission outside of formal proceedings; perform related duties as required.

Training: Current Professional Engineer (PE) license issued by the West Virginia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
