WF260042 – Employment Programs Specialist - Kanawha
Exempt Position
At WorkForce, WV (WFWV), this position is in the Charleston local office.
This position operates within the Promoting Reentry Opportunities for Workforce Development (PROWD) grant framework and oversees individuals reintegrating into society post-incarceration.
This position will serve as the PROWD Re-entry Coordinator.
This position will manage grant activities, ensure compliance with federal and state policies, and support participants by assessing and developing individualized reentry plans addressing areas such as housing, employment, education, healthcare, and community resources.
Monitors participants’ progress and adjusts plans as necessary. Connects participants with relevant community resources and services. Facilitates workshops and groups.
Participates in meetings with partners to review status of participant referrals, discuss best practices and expand collaboration.
Submits reports detailing program participants’ status and maintains up-to-date records and case notes in the MACC. Reviews exits for accuracy and tracks outcomes during follow-up.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Please note, this is an Exempt position and is not covered under the merit system administered by the West Virginia Division of Personnel.

Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in providing programmatic assistance to staff, users or participants in a program, or experience in customer service, banking, human resources, telemarketing, sales, or hospitality.
OR
Substitution: Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may substitute at a rate of fifteen (15) semester hours for every one (1) year of required experience.
PG: 12 $35,702 - $61,628
Market Rate: $54,918
