Employment Programs Office Manager - Ohio County

At WorkForce WV this position is in the Wheeling Field Operations local office. This position plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the Wheeling and Weirton local offices.

Collaborates effectively with staff, co-workers, employers and partner agencies. Acts as a responsible steward of public trust and credible representative of the organization.

Assists in finding solutions to customer problems and applies critical thinking when solving problems. Deals with complex and ambiguous issues with poise and tact.

Follows all applicable law, rule, and policy related to workplace and physical safety for staff and customers.

Maintains an adaptive mind set to improve work processes to increase productivity and performance. Communicates effectively with staff, co-workers, employers and partner agencies.

Demonstrates the ability to learn and adapt to a changing environment. Open to being coached and actively seeks out and apply feedback.

Dependable and demonstrates initiative and self-direction in completion of work. Adheres to the law, rule, and policies of the agency.

Maintains a safe environment for staff development through encouragement and accountability. Travel is required.

Qualifications


Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

OR

Substitution: Additional qualifying experience as described below may be substituted for the required training at the rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.

AND

Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience. Two (2) years of the four (4) years must have been in a supervisory capacity.

OR

Substitution: Master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours for every one (1) year of experience.
