Maintain positivity and resiliency while providing oversite of the daily operations of subordinate dispatch personnel.
Model the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and support to individuals contacted in the line of duty. This includes, but is not limited to, the public, field enforcement units, civilian staff, other agencies, and coworkers.
Display the ability to perform all duties of subordinate staff.
Train, mentor, build, and lead a high performing team of individuals with varied backgrounds in a high stress, fast-paced, always changing environment.

Emergency Services Dispatchers serve as the first point of contact in emergency situations and are the lifeline for many citizens around the State of Alaska and State Troopers in the field. You will be provided training opportunities to further your skills and will be able to help in assessing training needs and developing training for others.THE WORKING CONDITIONS YOU CAN EXPECT:
The Emergency Services Dispatcher 2 position is based in Fairbanks and located at 1979 Peger Road in a secure facility. The work environment is fast-paced – we answer more than 135,000 calls per year.
Each day is dynamic with the opportunity to interact with people from many different backgrounds and provide life-saving assistance in many challenging situations.
You will be part of a team of dispatchers who truly are the heart of the telecommunications services provided by the Department of Public Safety.
COVER LETTER
