Maintain positivity and resiliency while providing support for the field enforcement units of the Department of Public Safety at the Alaska State Troopers Northen Operations Center.
Display professionalism, compassion, and support to all individuals contacted in the line of duty. This includes, but is not limited to, the public, field enforcement units, civilian staff, other agencies, and coworkers.
Answer emergency and non-emergency calls for service via radio and phone for areas throughout the State of Alaska.

The Emergency Services Dispatcher 1 position is based in Fairbanks, located at 1979 Peger Road in a secure facility. The work environment is fast-paced – we answer more than 135,000 calls per year. Each day is dynamic with the opportunity to interact with people from many different backgrounds and provide life-saving assistance in many challenging situations. You will be part of a team of dispatchers who truly are the heart of the telecommunications services provided by the Department of Public Safety.COVER LETTER
A cover letter is NOT required for this position. Your complete application will be used to determine which applicants will advance to the interview phase of the recruitment and selection process.A typing test demonstrating the ability to type 30 words per minute must be submitted with the application.
