Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing all-hazards emergency management plans that provide processes and procedures throughout response and recovery from incidents; 2) Creating recommendations for development, adoptions, and implementation of an effective emergency management program;3)Conducting emergency management assessments to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions; and 4) Applying concepts, principles, and/or practices of emergency management and homeland security to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

  • You will be responsible for integrating emergency procedures with current information and communications capabilities.
  • You will conduct reviews and analysis of EM-related capability, hazard, and vulnerability assessments and reports findings to the EM program manager for consideration.
  • You will facilitate the preparation for, response to, and recovery from any all-hazards incident or event, thereby minimizing operational “down time” with rapid shore-based response and restoration.
  • You will plan and execute specified emergency functions during operations and exercises. Responsible for establishing, managing and maintaining the operational readiness of assigned Emergency Operations Center(s).
  • You will provide and/or coordinates the delivery of required emergency management and operational planning training.
