Job Description

Summary

This job involves planning and managing emergency response programs for natural disasters, man-made threats, and nuclear incidents across Navy installations in Japan, ensuring quick recovery and protection of people and property.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-12 level or equivalent in emergency management, including planning and coordination of programs

  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness and response strategies
  • Experience in evaluating complex problems, establishing policies, criteria, and performance metrics for emergency management
  • Skills in coordinating resources and personnel for disaster response and mission restoration

  • You will develop policies, evaluates complex problems and establishes criteria and performance metrics for emergency management for all installations and commands.
  • You will serves as or assists with duties of the action officer for planning and coordination of nuclear and radiological emergencies.
