Electronics Technician 4
Full Time | Permanent
Location: Airway Heights Correction Center (AHCC)
Salary Range: $6,673 $7,740 Monthly

As an Electronics Technician 4, some of your duties will include:
Maintenance and repair of electronic systems:
Providing maintenance support, parts replacement and administration for the following systems:
Security Electronics Network (SEN)
Motorola trunked radio system with mobile and portable radios
Gamewell Fire Alarm System
Electronic door control and indication
Video security cameras on Genetec servers
Harding Intercom System
Hirsch security keypad entry system
Perimeter detection system
Data and Telecommunication copper and fiber infrastructure
I/I cable TV system
Electronics benchwork
Backup support for KeyWatcher key control and Velocity door access administration
Projects / Documentation / Communication:
Facilitate assigned projects through clear communication with supervisors and vendors on project/task status, delays, impacts on the institution and security concerns
Research for new projects and upgrades to existing systems
Order parts and equipment compliant to current industry standards
Document work activities and update schematics and diagrams
Communicate with supervisors and customers on needed upgrades, repair status, delays and other concerns of open service requests
Preventative Maintenance:
Daily review of Perimeter System, Security Cameras and TV channel integrity
Cleaning and replacement of smoke detectors and other devices on the fire alarm system
Maintain essential parts inventory
Snow removal
Other duties as assigned

Telework Details
This position may be allocated for telework.
If authorized for the role, work may be performed from your home or another offsite location within the state of Washington using a reliable internet or cellular hotspot service at that time.
Employees are expected to perform assigned duties in a safe manner, to take proper care all state-issued equipment, and maintain confidentiality of all information in possession while working offsite.
Employees will be required to commute to a Department of Corrections facility or field office as business requires, to potentially include components of the onboarding process.
Some offices will have a “drop in” area available, however, a dedicated workspace within a DOC facility will not be provided.
